Preliminary Therapies: Nasya(Nasal Therapy), Anjana( Eye Therapy), Alepa(Application of herbo-mineral paste to the skin), Abhyanga(Oleation Therapy),Sarvang Swedena(Sweat Therapy), Nadi Swedena(Localised Sweat Therapy).

b) Modes of Nourishment: Nourishment as food. The six tastes and their effect on the human body, mind and psyche. Introduction to principal culinary herbs and spices.Class moves into the kitchen and learns how to prepare Khichari, a basic therapeutic meal.
